Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Karol Waszczuk!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Andrew Agro!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Radbod Blank and Aafke Stam.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Agro wants to break free but Waszczuk has control.
Agro drops down looking for an ankle pick but Waszczuk pulls his leg out and moves away.
Waszczuk throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Agro fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Waszczuk avoids it really well and circles away.
Waszczuk will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Agro gets a clinch.
Agro is looking to break free of the clinch but Waszczuk has double underhooks.
Agro has clasped his hands together around Waszczuk's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Agro decides to stand back up.
Agro swats away the attempt to clinch by Waszczuk.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Waszczuk pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Agro back to the cage. Waszczuk follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Agro slips a jab and a cross from Waszczuk.
Waszczuk keeps the fight on the outside.
Agro clinches up against the cage.
Agro's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Agro closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Waszczuk did well to prevent Agro getting side control.
Waszczuk is trying to stand back up but Agro is controlling him
Agro is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Waszczuk sees it coming and defends easily.
Agro wants to free his trapped foot but Waszczuk is holding on for dear life with his legs.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Agro decides to stand up.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Agro lands a left and a right that send Waszczuk crashing to the mat, dazed. Agro thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Waszczuk is rocked!
It looks like Karol Waszczuk has been cut.
Waszczuk is breathing heavily.
Agro shoots and scores a devastating slam takedown! Waszczuk is unconscious as Agro celebrates over his stricken foe!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Slam). Andrew Agro!
