The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Klice throws an overhand right that lands on Maddox's shoulder, as Maddox tries to avoid the shot.
Maddox ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Klice throws a front kick aimed at Maddox's knee but Maddox avoids it well.
Maddox walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Maddox connects with a leg kick. Klice looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Maddox is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Klice.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Maddox shoots for a double leg takedown but Klice sprawls well. He's pushed Maddox's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Klice finds Maddox's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Maddox flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Klice lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Maddox will be OK.
