2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Maurice Rabanbarou! The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Viktor Lagutenko and Igor Prikhodko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Paul moves into the clinch. Paul lands a knee to the head.
It looks like Maurice Rabanbarou has been cut. Paul has hold of one of Rabanbarou's legs. Rabanbarou is fighting the takedown attempt but Paul gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Paul drops back looking for a leg! Rabanbarou is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Rabanbarou manages to kick Paul off! Paul jumps back into Rabanbarou's guard. Rabanbarou has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Paul doesn't defend quickly enough and Rabanbarou has managed to lock this one up! Can Paul escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Rabanbarou on a fantastic submission victory.
