PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nate Barnes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Victor Creed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Barnes comes to the cage accompanied by Black Eyed Peas - Imma Be. Creed comes into a darkened arena with his song building. That's A Sabretooth kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Victor Creed!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Robert Twigg and Stewart Dunkirk.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barnes throws a nice outside leg kick.
Creed throws a head kick but Barnes moves out of range.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Barnes, right into the meat.
Barnes ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Creed moves away.
Creed throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Barnes's waist but Barnes gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Creed off to one side.
Creed uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

It looks like Nate Barnes has been cut.

Barnes tries to sprawl but Creed drives through with a takedown into half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Barnes tries to get to full guard but Creed has control of the leg.
Barnes is looking to control Creed's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Barnes avoid being mounted?

Creed stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
Creed blocks a head kick by Barnes.

Barnes throws a nice inside leg kick.
Creed scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Barnes throws a shot to the body.
Barnes cracks Creed with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

It looks like Victor Creed has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Barnes chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Barnes misses with a body kick.
Barnes thumps Creed with a low kick.
Barnes throws a series of strikes that have Creed backpedaling.
Barnes with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.

and Creed connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Barnes looks to score with a jab to the body but Creed is just out of range.
Barnes scores with a jab. Creed acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Creed showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Barnes.
The fighters circling - Barnes throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Barnes is looking to slow Creed down with leg kicks.
Barnes rushes in with a sloppy looking punch

and Creed counters with a nice double leg into half guard.

Creed stands up and beckons Barnes to join him on the feet.
Creed misses with a head kick.
Creed looks gassed!
An inside leg kick lands from Barnes.

Barnes connects with a crisp jab.
A slapping leg kick lands for Barnes.
Barnes throws a sloppy head kick and Creed moves out of range easily.
Barnes misses with a jab, cross combination.
Barnes dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Creed. That did some damage!
Creed takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Barnes pulls out of a head kick attempt.
A head kick by Creed misses
and Barnes makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Barnes dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Barnes lands a high kick!

That has opened up Victor Creed's cut even more.
Barnes lands a nice hook to Creed's body. Creed takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Barnes stuns Creed with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Barnes! Creed is out on his feet! Barnes rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Creed is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Creed is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
