PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Wolfgang Wyldblood (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hugh Pucci (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wyldblood kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Bark at the Moon by Ozzy Osbourne. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wyldblood fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Wyldblood is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

It looks like Wolfgang Wyldblood has been cut.
Wyldblood takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Oh, that's a big right hand from Pucci and Wyldblood goes tumbling to the canvas! Pucci follows him to the ground and looks to finish from half guard.

Wyldblood is rocked!
Pucci slows the pace down in half guard.
Oh Wyldblood is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Pucci wants to take a breather but Wyldblood is having none of it.
Wyldblood seems to have got his legs back now.
Wyldblood tries to roll over but Pucci keeps him under control.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Hugh Pucci was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Wyldblood shoots in for a takedown but Pucci shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Good standup being displayed there by Pucci as he connects with a hook.
Pucci throws a series of punches but Wyldblood avoids them all with ease.

Wyldblood looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Wyldblood not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Wyldblood trying to control but Pucci is working from the bottom.
Wyldblood tries to free his leg and advance position but Pucci is retaining full guard.
Pucci is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Wyldblood slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Wolfgang Wyldblood has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Wyldblood shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Pucci as he avoids it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Wolfgang Wyldblood. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Pucci will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Pucci connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Pucci batters Wyldblood with a massive right followed by a huge left! Wyldblood is out on his feet looking like a zombie as Pucci lands a final crushing right hand to drop Wyldblood to the mat with a gruesome thud! Pucci is running around like a mad man after that fight and for good reason!
