Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Maximo Katakutan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zato Ino (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Maximo Katakutan has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Maximo Katakutan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Zato Ino!
The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Colin Fray and Chris Saunders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Katakutan misses with a left hand
and Ino counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Katakutan throws a right hand that Ino ducks under and follows up with a left that Ino also avoids with ease.
Katakutan keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Ino goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Katakutan looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

and Ino moves into the clinch.
Ino is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Katakutan pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Ino pulls guard effortlessly.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Katakutan is fighting to break Ino's control of his arms but Ino is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Katakutan has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Ino is proving hard to escape from.
Ino pulls Katakutan in close to his closed guard and prevents Katakutan from doing any damage or advancing position.

Ino is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Katakutan escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Ino gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Katakutan really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Ino is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Katakutan is defending well though. Ino let's go of the attempt for now.

Ino utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ino is trying to control the position but Katakutan postures up.
Ino wants to get back to his feet but Katakutan is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Katakutan will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Ino throws the kick towards the body but Katakutan avoids it.
Ino shoots in looking for a takedown. Katakutan tries to sprawl out of it but Ino keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Katakutan manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Maximo Katakutan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Zato Ino.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Ino is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Ino wants to clinch up but Katakutan keeps it at a distance.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Katakutan misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Nice takedown defense from Katakutan. No joy for Ino on that attempt.

Ino has closed the distance and engaged Katakutan in a clinch.
Ino has Katakutan pressed against the cage, preventing Katakutan from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Ino manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Katakutan manages to get himself to full guard.

Ino is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
