Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Shawn Garris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Billy Mote (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Shawn Garris! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Billy Mote! The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Reed Andrews and Lou da Vinci.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mote gets caught flat footed, as Garris shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Mote is working an open guard so Garris takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Garris goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Nice takedown defense from Mote. No joy for Garris on that attempt.
Mote forces Garris back against the cage and clinches. Garris is trying to break free. Mote is looking to take this one to the mat. Garris swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Mote breaks the clinch.
Mote tries to score a power double leg takedown but Garris sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Mote somewhat.
Garris fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Mote sprawls well initially but Garris persists and gets the takedown into half guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Mote looks like he's trying to stand up.
Mote wants to stand back up but Garris manages to pass into side control.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Garris is looking to take a break and control but Mote is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Garris just content to control the position. Garris wants to take a breather but Mote manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Garris. Garris is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Mote is looking to stand up but Garris isn't so interested in that idea. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Garris trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
 The ref stands the fighters back up because Shawn Garris just wasn't active enough.
Mote tries to keep at a distance but Garris has taken the fight into the clinch.
Mote escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Mote tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Mote throws a series of strikes that have Garris backpedaling.
Garris swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Mote keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Garris moves in looking to clinch but Mote pushes him off. Mote looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Garris swings for the body but Mote moves out of range.
Garris fails with a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Shawn Garris. That's going to take a lot out of him. Mote throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Mote goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Mote swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Mote looks gassed!
Mote drives through with a takedown into Garris's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Garris wants to sweep here but Mote controlling him for the moment. Garris is working hard here to advance position.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Garris working a defensive guard here.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Garris wants to control but Mote passes easily into half guard.
It looks like Mote is going to stand back up.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Garris manages to escape and get back to his feet! And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Shawn Garris will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Mote drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Garris manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Mote tries to kick Garris off but Garris keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Garris gets to his feet - back to striking we go! Garris loads up on a big right hand but Mote slips the punch. Mote looks to land a combination but Garris avoids it well. Mote scores with a three punch combo!
Mote is breathing heavily. Mote with a poor takedown
and Garris decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Mote's guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Mote being controlled here, momentarily.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Mote can't keep his opponent in guard - Garris advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Mote is refusing to be controlled, as Garris sits in half guard. Garris thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Garris wants to advance to full mount but Mote doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead. Garris connects with a couple of short punches.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Garris won't allow Mote to get back to his feet. Garris forces his way into half guard. Garris wants to pass the guard but Mote is defending well. Mote is refusing to be controlled, as Garris sits in half guard. Mote is trying to stand back up but Garris is controlling him
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Garris slips a nice elbow through Mote's hands, connecting with Mote's forehead.
Garris is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Mote tries to kick Garris off but Garris keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Garris is looking to take a break and control but Mote is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Garris is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Mote is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Mote looks like he's trying to stand up.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Garris passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Mote! Garris scoring with strikes but Mote is staying in there. Garris raining down hammerfists from mount. Garris controlling his opponent. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Mote bucks up and throws Garris to the side - he's got back to his feet. Great escape! And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.
Shawn Garris dominated that second round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Mote is working an open guard so Garris takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Horrible takedown by Garris or perhaps it was just good defense by Mote which made him look bad. Mote uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Garris has time to react.
Mote gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Garris stops Mote from standing up. Garris wants to stand but Mote is controlling his posture from full guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Garris looking to pass the guard.
 That's one minute gone in the round.
Mote has his feet on Garris's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. Mote tries to close the distance and clinch up but Garris swats him away and circles back towards the center. A left and a right from Mote both land. Nice combination. Mote lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Garris circles away quickly and effectively. Mote displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Garris. Garris shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Mote defends it nicely. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Shawn Garris. That's going to take a lot out of him.
 That's two minutes gone in the round.
Mote decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Garris trying to control but Mote postures up.
Shawn Garris overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Garris is trying to get back to full guard. Garris trying to control here.
Mote seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Mote is thwarting Garris's attempts to control the position. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Mote escapes and gets back to his feet. Mote fails with a takedown attempt. Mote checks the leg kick. A combination from Garris does no damage. Nice takedown defense from Garris. No joy for Mote on that attempt. Garris misses with a takedown attempt - Mote sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Garris shoots and misses and Mote counters with a slapping leg kick. Mote tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Garris manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Garris. Garris cracks Mote with a big elbow. Garris slows the pace down. Mote manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Garris gets full guard.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Shawn Garris. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Garris, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent.
