And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Samir Nasri!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Daniel Bishop and Paul Tew.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Nasri throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.

It looks like Dante Smith has been cut.
Smith thuds his shin into the meat of Nasri's side.
Smith moves in looking to clinch but Nasri pushes him off.
A looping hook to the body misses from Smith. Nasri does a little dance to reset his feet.
Smith lands with a kick to the temple. Nasri shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Nasri misses with a takedown
and Smith counters with a nice body shot.
Smith scores with a head kick.
Nasri shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Smith sprawls well. Smith wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Nasri gets slowly back to his feet.
Smith bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Nasri's head backwards.
Nasri fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Dante Smith has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Samir Nasri.

and Smith counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Smith throws a left that rocks Nasri and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Smith dives into side control, looking to finish! Can Nasri regain composure!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Smith creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Smith thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

You get the feeling that Nasri really doesn't like being in this position too much.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Smith is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Nasri is surviving well by controlling Smith's body position as best he can.

Smith tries to pass the half guard into mount. Nasri knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Smith thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Nasri's head.

Smith goes for an armbar but Nasri turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Nasri.

Nasriis looking to pass into half guard but Smith pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Smith is in guard.
Nasri keeping moving, preventing Smith from controlling successfully.
Samir Nasri has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Dante Smith just wasn't active enough.
Smith lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
