The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Olivier has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Kowalski finds it's way round the side to connect with Olivier's head.
Kowalski takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Olivier takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

It looks like Henry Olivier has been cut.
Kowalski lands the left hand.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Kowalski manages to break the clinch.
Kowalski throws a looping overhand right but Olivier ducks down to avoid it.
Kowalski throws a nice inside leg kick.
Kowalski tests Olivier's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Roman Kowalski seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kowalski lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Kowalski stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Olivier closes this distance looking for a takedown but Kowalski circles away.
Olivier fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Olivier scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Olivier tries to move to mount but Kowalski blocks the move with his legs.

Kowalski throws Olivier to one side and escapes!

Kowalski lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Olivier looks to land a left hand but Kowalski moved out of range nicely.
Olivier wants to clinch up but Kowalski keeps it at a distance.
Kowalski throws a leg kick which misses Olivier's front leg but catches the back leg as Olivier tries to avoid it.
Kowalski is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Olivier looks gassed!
Kowalski defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Olivier.
Roman Kowalski has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Henry Olivier.
Kowalski connects with the punch.

That has opened up Henry Olivier's cut even more.

Olivier needs to keep his hands up - Kowalski had a free shot at his head there.
Kowalski scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Olivier doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Kowalski lands a big head kick that sends Olivier tumbling to the mat! Kowalski takes a step backwards and waves Olivier back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Kowalski fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.

Henry Olivier's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Olivier drops his hands momentarily and Kowalski takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Henry Olivier's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
