Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Eaton Cox (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Oil Slick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cox comes to the cage accompanied by Hatebreed - Destroy Everything. Slick has chosen Careful With That Axe Eugene as his entrance music. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Slick feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Slick advances to half guard.
Slick is stalling here. Cox is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Slick seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Cox has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
Slick wants to control but Cox postures up.
Cox is chipping away with strikes.
Slick takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Cox works to advance to full mount. Slick defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
Slick slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.

Slick wants to get back to full guard.

Cox looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Slick is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Cox's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Cox's back!

Cox covers up after that shot from Slick.
Cox looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Slick controlling well, preventing Cox from escaping the position.

Even with his hooks in, Slick manages to miss with strikes from the back.
Cox manages to escape to a better position under a series of strikes. Slick is now in side control.
Slick wants to lay and pray for a moment but Cox keeps working.
Slick looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Cox is avoiding damage well.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Slick cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Slick wants to control the pace but Cox is squirming around nicely.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Slick lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Slick thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Slick fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Oil Slick dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Slick throws a hook to the side of Cox's head but Cox sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Slick jabs Cox to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Cox tries to work over Slick's front leg with a kick but Slick checks it.
Cox tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Slick lands a head kick. Cox smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
A big left from Slick misses.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Cox lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Slick has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Slick and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Cox keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Cox throws a chopping leg kick but Slick manages to avoid taking any serious damage.

Slick shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Cox manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Slick stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Cox swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Cox utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Oil Slick has got the better of the ground game so far.

Slick has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Slick with a flurry of punches that miss.
Slick trying to control the position from guard on top but Cox is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Slick has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Cox to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Slick is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Cox pulls down on the head and he's put Slick to sleep! This one is all over!
