Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alexander Nevsky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Abel Koponen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Abel Koponen!
The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Valeri Chadov and Igor Prikhodko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Koponen tries to clinch but Nevsky is having none of it.
Nevsky connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Koponen drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
It looks like Abel Koponen has been cut.
Koponen throws a series of punches but Nevsky avoids them all with ease.
Nevsky swats away the attempt to clinch by Koponen.
Nevsky throws a jab but it's blocked by Koponen.
Koponen fails with a takedown attempt.
Koponen throws a good cross that connects.
Nevsky looks to score with a jab to the body but Koponen is just out of range.
Nevsky throws a lazy uppercut
and Koponen counters with a stiff right hand.
Nevsky waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Koponen.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Koponen cracks Nevsky with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Koponen throws a right hand that Nevsky ducks under and follows up with a left that Nevsky also avoids with ease.
Koponen is looking to clinch but Nevsky is avoiding it.
Nevsky walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Koponen checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Nevsky shoots in looking for a takedown but Koponen manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Nevsky's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
No joy there for Nevsky, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Koponen scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Nevsky throws a series of punches but Koponen moves out of range.
Koponen shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Nevsky sprawls well. Nevsky wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Koponen gets slowly back to his feet.
Koponen fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Good standup being displayed there by Koponen as he connects with a hook.
Nevsky shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Koponen wants to control but Nevsky is having none of it.
Nevsky with shots to the head and body - Koponen looks very uncomfortable down there.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Nevsky tries to control but Koponen wriggling away.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Koponen is in all sorts of trouble here.
Koponen is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Oooooh, big shot lands for Nevsky! Koponen is hurt baaadly! Nevsky is firing away with more strikes - Koponen is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!
