The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Gigalo is on top in guard.

Kirilenko has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Gigalo seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Kirilenko loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Gigalo scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Kirilenko land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Kirilenko stands and salutes the crowd.
