Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Frank Stam!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Trav Perrin!
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Skip Squint and Damien Edna.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Perrin circles away from the clinch attempt.
Perrin tries a head kick but it misses.
Stam will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Perrin darts in and clinches Stam up against the cage.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Stam.
Stam lands a knee to the body.

Perrin gets control of Stam's arms and successfully pulls guard. Perrin will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Perrin is pulling down on Stam's head to control his posture.
Perrin tries to land a sweep but no joy.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Perrin is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Stam sitting in guard here, content to control.
Perrin is trying to control the position but Stam postures up.

Perrin looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Perrin wants to sweep but no luck.

Perrin has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Stam doesn't defend quickly enough and Perrin has managed to lock this one up! Can Stam escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Perrin on a fantastic submission victory.
