Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hamusuta Ko!
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Shirou Masuda and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A leg kick checked by Ko.
Ko shoots for a takedown but Machete saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Ko tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Ko throws a head kick but Machete moves out of range.
Hamusuta Ko seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ko rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Machete moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Ko misses with a series of wild punches.
Ko tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Machete swivels and escapes.
Machete scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Ko shoots in for a double leg but Machete sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Frank Machete has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hamusuta Ko.
Machete keeps the fight on the outside.
A head kick misses from Ko.
Nice takedown defense from Machete. No joy for Ko on that attempt.
Ko wants to clinch up but Machete keeps it at a distance.
Machete really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Ko is defended easily by Machete.
Ko will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Machete's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Machete duly obliges.
It looks like Hamusuta Ko has been cut.
Ko tries to clinch but Machete is having none of it.
Ko tried to score with a low kick but Machete checks it.
Ko throws a series of punches but Machete moves out of range.
Machete lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
A head kick misses from Ko.
Ko takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Machete tries to work over Ko's front leg with a kick but Ko checks it.

Machete throws a series of punches but Ko avoids them all with ease.
Machete lands a jab to Ko's midsection.

Machete throws a leg kick but Ko sees it coming and moves out of range.
Ko blocks a low kick nicely.
Ko takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Ko shoots in looking for a takedown but Machete manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Ko's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Machete looks to land a combination but Ko avoids it well.
Machete throws a leg kick but Ko moved away.
Ko misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Machete goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Machete attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Ko takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Machete checks a leg kick.
Frank Machete is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Machete finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Machete scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Machete wants to land a leg kick but Ko is out of range.
Machete pivots, looking for a leg kick but Ko is out of range and Machete settles back down.
Ko tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Machete paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Ko shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Machete pinned against the cage. Machete gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Machete throws a low kick but Ko avoids it.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Ko wants to clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Frank Machete dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Hamusuta Ko's cut.
That's time! Machete's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Machete throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Machete stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Machete wants it to stay on the feet.
Machete is looking to wear down Ko with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Ko avoids a punch combination nicely.
Machete blocks the body kick.
Machete keeps the fight on the outside.
Ko misses with a two punch combination.
Machete misses with a head kick.
Ko is breathing heavily.
Machete pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Ko back to the cage. Machete follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Ko misses with the combination.

No luck with that takedown attempt from Ko.
Machete throws a solid leg kick but Ko takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Machete.
Ko is trying desperately to land a takedown but Machete is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Ko.
Ko wants to clinch
and Machete makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Machete throws a right and a left that Ko avoids nicely.
Machete throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Ko.
Machete swats away the attempt to clinch by Ko.
Ko doesn't manage to clinch there - Machete circles away.

Machete feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Ko's calf.
Machete lands a left and a right that send Ko crashing to the mat, dazed. Machete thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Ko ducks right into an uppercut from Machete.
Ko is rocked!
Machete looks to land a combination but Ko avoids it well.
Machete walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Ko checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Machete misses with a few strikes there.
Ko misses with a two punch combination.
Machete digs a good hook to Ko's body.
Machete connects with a body shot that sends Ko's belly button to the back.
Ko doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Machete throws a combination. Ko tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Ko is still on wobbly legs! Can Machete finish him?
Machete misses with a head kick.
Ko seems to have recovered his senses.
Machete drops Ko with a beautiful combination! Ko stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Machete is looking for the KO!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Machete does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Ko fails with the takedown.
Frank Machete has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hamusuta Ko.

That kick from Machete tenderised Ko's leg. Ko is trying to keep his angry face on.

Machete lands a big right hand and follows it up with an uppercut. Oh and another big punch and a knee - Ko can't take much more of this! Another big shot to the jaw from Machete and Ko drops to the floor. Beaten and bloodied - he had enough there. A vicious beatdown by Machete.
