Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tuna Fish (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Banana Fly (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tuna Fish has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Tuna Fish!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Banana Fly!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Johanna Lukiainen and Tarja Halkonen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fish dodges the punch combination from Fly.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Fish.
Fish throws a hook but Fly avoids it easily.
Fish throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Fly sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Fly throws a right and a left that Fish avoids nicely.
Fish throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Fly stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Fish wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Fly misses with a few strikes there.
The fighters circling - Fly throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Fish lands a nice hook to Fly's body. Fly takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Fish looks to throw the jab but Fly is out of range.
Fish misses the shot to the body.
Fish uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Fly.
Fish throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Fly throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Fly catches Fish with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Fly will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Fish scores with a jab to the body.
Fish takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Fly misses with the combination.
Fish has a takedown stuffed.
Fly throws the left hand but Fish avoids the punch easily.
Fish dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Fish uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Fly.
Fish throws out a powerful jab.
Fly throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Fish throws a body punch but Fly moves out of range.
Fish shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Fly as he jumps to the side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tuna Fish. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Fish takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Fish works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Fish throws a jab but it's blocked by Fly.
Fish jabbing away but nothing is landing.
A combination from Fly does no damage.
A slow jab from Fly misses its intended target.
Fly cracks Fish with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Fish pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Fish fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.

Fish dives in and scores a takedown into Fly's guard.
Fish with a flurry of punches that miss.
Fish tries to free his leg and advance position but Fly is retaining full guard.
Fly is adopting a defensive guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Fly is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Fly wants to get back to his feet but Fish is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Banana Fly.
Fish scores with a crisp jab that stopped Fly in his tracks.
Fly slips under a jab.
Fly is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Fish.
Fly checks a leg kick.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Fly throws a right hand that Fish ducks under and follows up with a left that Fish also avoids with ease.
Fly misses with the combination.

Fish gets tackled into the cage by Fly. Fly maintains the clinch.
Fly throws a knee to the head but misses.
Fly takes a shot to the head.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Fly.
Fly missing with knees to the body.
Fly pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
A knee to the head by Fly.


It looks like Tuna Fish has been cut.
Fly avoiding damage.
Fly blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Fly blocking some punches.
Fly using the Thai clinch to land knees to the body.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Fly with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Fly slows down the pace here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Banana Fly will probably get the nod.

Fly gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Fly is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Fish misses with a short punch on the inside.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Fish avoiding damage as Fly throws knees to the body.
Fish misses with a short punch on the inside.
Fly's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Fly will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Fish up against the cage.
Fish is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Fly pulls him back up using the underhooks.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
Fly lands an elbow inside.
Fly lands a hook that snaps the head of Fish backwards.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.

With the two fighters working up against the cage, Fly just misses with a elbow thrown towards Fish's brow.
Fly blocks an uppercut.
Fish wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Fly has him pressed against the cage.
Fly takes a shot to the head.
Fly landing knees to the body.
Fish misses with a punch on the inside.
Fly lands a knee to the body.
Fly lands an elbow just above Fish 's eye.
Fish fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Fly obliges.
Fly lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
Fly tries to stall but Fish uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Fly pressing his opponent against the cage.
Fly comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.


Tuna Fish's cut is getting worse.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Fish managing to block the knees to the body from Fly.

Fish looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Fly lands an elbow that stopped Fish in his tracks for a moment.


Jeez, Tuna Fish's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
