Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ed Thompson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryan Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Thompson comes to the cage accompanied by "Born To Win" by Papoose. Ed Thompson has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Colin Fray and Chris Saunders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Thompson manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Thompson throws a series of punches but Jones avoids them all with ease.
Thompson misses with a jab, cross combination.
Jones darts in and clinches Thompson up against the cage.
Thompson is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Thompson wants the takedown. Jones is fighting it off but Thompson persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Jones's guard against the cage.
Thompson postures up in Jones's guard and throws a big left but Jones blocks it.

Thompson throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Jones works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Thompson is working Jones over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Thompson tries to bench press Jones off him but Jones keeps the position.

Jones is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Thompson gets to his feet and stands over Jones, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Jones felt that one! Thompson unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Jones from any more punishment!
