The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Riley throws a series of punches but Ruiz avoids them all with ease.

Ruiz could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Riley wants to control but Ruiz is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Riley had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Ruiz is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Riley Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Ruiz's back instead.
