The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Nahasemapetilon but Nahasemapetilon pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Silva shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Nahasemapetilon as he avoids it easily.
Rajesh Nahasemapetilon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nahasemapetilon throws a looping overhand right but Silva ducks down to avoid it.

Silva shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Nahasemapetilon pinned against the cage. Nahasemapetilon gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Nahasemapetilon throws a hook to the side of Silva's head but Silva sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Silva bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Nahasemapetilon lands a left and a right that send Silva crashing to the mat, dazed. Nahasemapetilon thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
