Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Wesley Smith and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shouse on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Fabinal.
Shouse decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Shouse tries to stand but can't do so whilst Fabinal controls his leg.
Shouse is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Joshua Shouse wasn't active enough on the ground.
Shouse throws a sloppy head kick and Fabinal moves out of range easily.

Fabinal forces Shouse back against the cage and clinches.
Fabinal tries to score a body lock takedown but Shouse shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Shouse can do anything to dispel that myth.
Shouse has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Fabinal looking to sit in guard and control but Shouse gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Shouse slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Fabinal bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Fabinal shoots in and drives through. Shouse sprawls well.
