Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Raymond Blew!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jim Jakasashii!
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blew lands a jab to Jakasashii's midsection.
Jakasashii shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Blew as he jumps to the side.
Blew changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Jakasashii's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Blew connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Jakasashii scrambles back to his feet.
It looks like Jim Jakasashii has been cut.
Jakasashii dives in and grabs Blew's left leg, looking for a takedown. Blew pushes down on Jakasashii's head and hops out.
Blew manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Jakasashii on his heels. He'll look to pass Jakasashii's guard now, I'm sure.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Blew postures up in Jakasashii's guard and throws a big left but Jakasashii blocks it.
Blew knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Jakasashii on the ground.
Blew working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
Jakasashii is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Blew has his hands clasped together but Jakasashii extends an breaks Blew's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Jakasashii.
