The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lanius clinches up against the cage.
Lanius wants to break the clinch but can't.
Andolini goes for a takedown in the clinch but Lanius prevents it.
Lanius lands a right hand.
Lanius has had enough of the clinch but Andolini keeps him there for the moment.
Lanius throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Andolinis head.
Lanius wants to break the clinch but can't.
Lanius gets underhooks to prevent Andolini's takedown attempt.
Andolini is breathing heavily.
Lanius stalling.

Lanius's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Lanius closes the distance and clinches.
Lanius is looking to break free of the clinch but Andolini has double underhooks.
Lanius lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Andolini backwards.
Andolini drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Lanius gets the underhooks and prevents it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for John Andolini. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Lanius gets a trip takedown into half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Lanius looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Andolini with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Andolini is rocked!
Lanius lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Andolini quite badly. Andolini pulls Lanius in close trying to recover. Lanius postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Andolini on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Andolini doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
