Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mo Tali (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Howard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tali's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, If ya smelllllllllllll what the rock is cookin. Howard has chosen My Block as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Mo Tali!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
8 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Mike Howard!
The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Jeff Smith and Roger Salmon.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Howard changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Tali looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Tali regains half guard, as Howard was trying to land strikes.
Tali is trying to control but can't.
Howard missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Tali trying to hold on to Howard's head to control him but Howard postures up.
Howard seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Tali does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Tali is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Howard pulls his head out easily.
Howard is thwarting Tali's attempts to control the position.

Howard drops an elbow to the side of Tali's head.
Howard really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Tali. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Tali makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Tali.
Tali working for a triangle but Howard defends it easily.

Howard missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Tali is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Tali is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Howard stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Tali swivels though and keeps the full guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Howard accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Tali had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Howard defends it easily.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Tali is looking to sinch up a triangle. Howard throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Tali's body to avoid the submission. Tali has instead reached around Howard's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Tali arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Mo Tali!
After winning the bout, Mo Tali thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
