The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Murphy cracks a nice hook into Lucas's ribs.
Lucas tries to score a power double leg takedown but Murphy sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Lucas somewhat.

Lucas gets the takedown into side control.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Lucas decides to stand back up. Lucas steps back and let's Murphy get back to his feet.

Lucas tries to close the distance and clinch but Murphy swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Murphy throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Lucas stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

No joy there for Murphy, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Murphy cracks Lucas with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Murphy uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Lucas.
Lucas looks to score with a jab to the body but Murphy is just out of range.
Murphy tries to bum rush Lucas with a series of wild strikes but Lucas uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Lucas throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Murphy lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

Murphy displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Lucas.
Murphy connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

Lucas ducks right into an uppercut from Murphy.
Lucas fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Murphy manages to avoid it.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Lucas closes the distance looking to clinch
enabling Murphy to counter with a crisp jab.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Lucas throws a sloppy head kick and Murphy moves out of range easily.
Nice takedown defense from Murphy. No joy for Lucas on that attempt.
Murphy stuns Lucas with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Lucas shoots in looking for a takedown. Murphy tries to sprawl out of it but Lucas keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Murphy manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Murphy wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Wayne Lucas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Lucas closes the distance and clinches up with Murphy, looking for a takedown. Lucas pushes Murphy against the cage but Murphy circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Lucas get stunned by a cross and takes another one on the button. Lucas stumbles backwards and tries to bounce back off the cage but Murphy runs in and jumps on him with a leaping lead hook that puts him out! Wow, that was highlight reel stuff! Awesome finish!
