The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gatto swinging wildly here.
Arsenal dodges the punch combination from Gatto.
Gatto throws a combination that misses
and Arsenal counters with a slapping leg kick.
Gatto misses with a few strikes there.
Arsenal tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Gatto swivels and escapes.
Gatto leaves Arsenal with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Gatto throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Arsenal gets a clinch.
Gatto wants to break free but Arsenal has control.
Arsenal is working for takedown but Gatto is calmly controlling the position for now.
Rocky Gatto has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Arsenal.

Gatto could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Arsenal is looking to clinch but Gatto is avoiding it.

Arsenal misses with a takedown attempt - Gatto sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Gatto defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Arsenal.
Arsenal tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Gatto misses with a jab, cross combination.
Gatto throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Arsenal's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Gatto dives in looking to finish as Arsenal flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Gatto's strikes! Gatto is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Arsenal's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Arsenal was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.
