Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Nick shannon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jacob Higgins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Higgins has chosen Fireball Ministry - The Broken as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Nick shannon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jacob Higgins!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Dean Styles and Anthony Taglia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Higgins tries to keep at a distance but shannon has taken the fight into the clinch.
shannon wants a takedown but no success here.
Higgins is working for takedown but shannon is calmly controlling the position for now.
shannon turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Higgins explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!
Higgins shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in shannon's guard.
Higgins is looking to stand up but shannon won't let him.
Higgins won't allow shannon to get back to his feet.
shannon manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Higgins manages to get himself to full guard.
shannon thows a big elbow that misses.
shannon wants to pass the guard but Higgins is keeping the position.
Higgins is looking to stand up but shannon isn't so interested in that idea.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Higgins is looking to sinch up a triangle. shannon throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Higgins's body to avoid the submission. Higgins has instead reached around shannon's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Higgins arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:02 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Jacob Higgins!
