The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Fyodorov throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Kuter was covering up waiting for the punch and Fyodorov finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Fyodorov lands a couple of digs.
Fyodorov must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Fyodorov swings wildly with an uppercut but Kuter uses good head movement to avoid it.

Kuter blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Kuter is pressed up against the cage. Fyodorov has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Kuter down to the mat. Kuter avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Wojtek Kuter has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Aleksander Fyodorov.

Kuter cracks Fyodorov with a big right hand but Fyodorov just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kuter has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Fyodorov's body.

Kuter is riding his opponent, not letting Fyodorov buck him off.
Despite being in a bad position, Fyodorov is controlling the hands, preventing any submission attempts.

Kuter is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Kuter avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Kuter shoots for a double leg takedown but Fyodorov sprawls well. He's pushed Kuter's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Kuter is fighting off a takedown attempt but Fyodorov is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Kuter to the mat. Kuter regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
