Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Psil Ander (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Athrun Zala (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Zala has chosen Drowning Pool - Bodies as his entrance music. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Psil Ander!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Athrun Zala!
The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Yukihiro Shimada and Tatsuya Matsuyama.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zala fails to land the takedown.

Ander shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Ander is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Zala has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Zala!

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Ander has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Zala is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Ander.

Ander shoots for a takedown but Zala saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Zala closes the distance and clinches up with Ander, looking for a takedown. Zala pushes Ander against the cage but Ander circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Ander looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ander sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Zala's guard.
Ander has decided to stand back up but his arm is trapped. Whilst he's worrying about his arm, Zala works to full guard.
Ander pushes down on Zala's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Zala is trying to control but can't.

Zala is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Ander is staying active.

Ander is working for a submission of some sort.

Zala is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Ander trying to control the position from guard on top but Zala is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Zala wants to get back to his feet but Ander is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Zala stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Zala wants it to stay on the feet.
Ander shoots in looking for a takedown. Zala tries to sprawl out of it but Ander keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Zala manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Psil Ander dominated that second round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Ander throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Zala's waist but Zala gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Ander off to one side.

Ander is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Zala pulls his head out easily.
Zala has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Zala looking to finish here with some ground and pound. He lands one big shot that has Ander covering up... and two more big strikes land, forcing the referee to step in and put and end to proceedings! This fight is all over!
