Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

15 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Nik Volkov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Brad Pickett!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Shigeki Fujiwara and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pickett misses with a straight left.
Volkov tries for a takedown but Pickett sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Pickett keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Brad Pickett seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A big left from Pickett misses.
Pickett misses with a left hand
and Volkov counters with a takedown into side control.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Pickett tries to buck Volkov off but Volkov is having none of it.
Volkov advances to mount.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Volkov moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Pickett has worked his arm free - good work by Pickett!
Volkov moves into full mount!
That's one minute gone in the round.
Pickett is wriggling around trying to escape.
Volkov looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Volkov trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Pickett can't escape the position.
Volkov is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Pickett can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Volkov pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Volkov controlling the position easily from mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The referee warns Pickett that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Volkov lands a big shot there that rocks Pickett but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Pickett is rocked!
Volkov prevents Pickett from getting the reversal.
Pickett is still in real trouble! Can Volkov finish him?
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Volkov postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Pickett badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Volkov around the waist but Volkov pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Volkov is the winner by TKO! Volkov jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Nik Volkov!
Nik Volkov was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
