Rodriguez is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by disturbed- pain redefined. Carlos Rodriguez has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Chack Sabac!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Carlos Rodriguez!
The judges for this bout are , Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rodriguez throws a nice looking combination but Sabac bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Rodriguez misses with a head kick.
Rodriguez wants to clinch.

Rodriguez closes the distance and clinches.

Rodriguez pulls guard successfully.
Sabac with a flurry of punches that miss.
Sabac working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Rodriguez is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Rodriguez trying to strike off his back.
Sabac postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Sabac thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Sabac accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Sabac got a little sloppy there for a moment and Rodriguez has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Sabac has managed to get both his arms back between Rodriguez's legs - danger averted.
Sabac wants to pass the guard but Rodriguez is keeping the position.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Sabac thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Sabac postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Rodriguez is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Sabac, into his guard.

Sabac is looking for a triangle but Rodriguez pushes his legs off easily.

Sabac has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Rodriguez can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Sabac has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Rodriguez doesn't defend quickly enough and Sabac has managed to lock this one up! Can Rodriguez escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Sabac on a fantastic submission victory.
