Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lester Howell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniel Ruanti (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Daniel Ruanti was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ruanti feints and then cracks Howell's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Howell down.
Ruanti connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Howell momentarily.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Ruanti throws a leg kick which misses Howell's front leg but catches the back leg as Howell tries to avoid it.
Howell fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Ruanti avoids it really well and circles away.

A bone on bone clash there as Ruanti blocks the leg kick.
Ruanti motions for Howell to come forward. Ruanti throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.

Howell fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Ruanti has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Ruanti chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Howell can pounce on him.

That kick from Ruanti tenderised Howell's leg. Howell is trying to keep his angry face on.

Howell closes the distance and clinches up with Ruanti, looking for a takedown. Howell pushes Ruanti against the cage but Ruanti circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Well Ruanti has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
