Cruz kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Deadmau5 - Ghosts and Stuff. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Stewart Dunkirk and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cruz keeps the fight on the outside.

It looks like Dirty Sanchez has been cut.

Cruz drops Sanchez with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Sanchez looks back up at him and smiles so Cruz waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Sanchez is staying active underneath Cruz, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Cruz drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Cruz jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Sanchez is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Cruz wants to control from the top but Sanchez keeps moving.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Cruz lands a hook that stumbles Sanchez back into the cage. Cruz follows up with a straight and another hook that land right on the button, dropping Sanchez to the canvas! Cruz pounces and lands several unanswered shots - Sanchez has had enough and taps out! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Victor Cruz!
After the fight, Victor Cruz was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
