Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Junior BayawaK!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, Leo C Barros!
The judges for this bout are Josh West, Jeff Smith and Paul Gruel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
BayawaK shoots in looking for a takedown. Barros tries to sprawl out of it but BayawaK keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Barros manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from BayawaK.

BayawaK closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
BayawaK is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

BayawaK is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Barros's shoulder. That is not cool.
Check out the look on BayawaK's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
