Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between David Ruiz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Miguel Camarano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Camarano has chosen Holyday-Greenday as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, David Ruiz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Miguel Camarano!
The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Felipe Paraventi and Daniel Cesar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ruiz stuffs the takedown attempt from Camarano. Camarano gets slowly back to his feet.
Ruiz misses with a takedown attempt - Camarano sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Ruiz shoots in for a takedown but Camarano shows good takedown defense.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Camarano unloads with some shots from mount but Ruiz bucks and avoids them well.

Camarano lands a big shot there that rocks Ruiz but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Ruiz is desperately trying to improve his position but Camarano has a good base and remains in mount.
Camarano really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ruiz. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Ruiz is breathing heavily.
Camarano is landing with some decent strikes but Ruiz is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Camarano fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Camarano is in the full mount, landing strikes.

BOOM! Camarano connects with a massive shot to the dome!


Ruiz is rocked!

Camarano is working for a guillotine from mount but Ruiz frees his head quite easily.
Ruiz is working to get back to half guard.
Ruiz regains half guard.
Camarano throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Camarano is looking to take a break and control but Ruiz is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Ruiz is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Camarano thows a huge punch but Ruiz dodges it nicely.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Camarano lands a nice short elbow.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Miguel Camarano dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Camarano closes this distance looking for a takedown but Ruiz circles away.
Ruiz throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Camarano's waist but Camarano gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Ruiz off to one side.

Ruiz throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Camarano tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Ruiz is in Camarano's guard.

Ruiz drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Ruiz jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ruiz throws a big elbow that misses.

Ruiz thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Camarano trying to keep a closed guard but Ruiz is proving a slippery customer.

Ruiz passes into half guard under a barage of strikes.
Miguel Camarano has got the better of the ground game so far.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Camarano is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Ruiz pulls his head out easily.

Ruiz winds up and cracks Camarano with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Camarano is defending against the submission attempts here by Ruiz.
Ruiz is nestled in close to Camarano, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Ruiz is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.

Camarano wants to sweep here but Ruiz controlling him for the moment.
Ruiz postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

Ruiz drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Ruiz as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Camarano screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Ruiz! Nice submission victory there!
