Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Juan Chavez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Xdasdasd Asdasda!
The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Ryoma Takatsuka and Josh West.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Asdasda will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Asdasda shoots for a takedown but Chavez saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Chavez shoots in but Asdasda avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Asdasda shoots in looking for a takedown but Chavez manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Asdasda's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Juan Chavez has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Xdasdasd Asdasda.

Juan Chavez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Chavez fails with the takedown.

Asdasda tries to sprawl but Chavez drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Chavez wants to control but Asdasda is keeping him busy.

Asdasda tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
Asdasda wants to get back to his feet.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Chavez lands a nice short elbow.
Asdasda is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Chavez scores with a couple of nice shots.

Chavez lands strikes from half guard.
Chavez not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.

Chavez takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Chavez seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Asdasda looks gassed!
Chavez is keen to just control but Asdasda is a slippery customer.

Chavez is looking for a kimura but Asdasda is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Chavez to get the leverage.
Asdasda is trying to get back to full guard.
Asdasda trying to hold on to Chavez's head to control him but Chavez postures up.
Chavez winds up and cracks Asdasda with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Chavez looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Asdasda with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Chavez thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Chavez passes to side control.
Asdasda takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.

Chavez decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Chavez fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Asdasda has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Chavez shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Chavez was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Asdasda is in a horrible position here. Chavez smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Chavez has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Asdasda's face.

Chavez working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Asdasda looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Chavez! Submission of the night perhaps?

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Juan Chavez!
During a confident post fight interview, Juan Chavez thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
