Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ben Barnes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pat Berry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Berry has chosen Duck and Run by 3 Doors Down as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barnes connects with a body shot that sends Berry's belly button to the back.
Barnes pushes Berry away with a front kick.
Barnes fails in his attempt to clinch.
Berry avoids the body shot from Barnes.
Berry stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Barnes.
Berry's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Barnes connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Berry scrambles back to his feet.

It looks like Pat Berry has been cut.
Berry swats away the attempt to clinch by Barnes.
Barnes connects with a leg kick. Berry looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Barnes lands with a kick to the temple. Berry shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Berry takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Barnes moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Berry takes a body punch but keeps moving.

Barnes tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Berry counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

and Berry counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Berry.

Barnes not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Barnes is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Berry won't allow Barnes to sweep him here.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Berry accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Barnes is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Berry throws an elbow that misses. Barnes uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Berry's guard. Nice move by Barnes!

Berry has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Barnes trying to control but Berry is working from the bottom.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Berry can do anything to dispel that myth.
Barnes stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Berry swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Barnes working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Barnes prevents Berry from getting back to his feet.
Berry can't keep his opponent in guard - Barnes advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Barnes is keen to just control but Berry is a slippery customer.

Berry is looking for a sweep. Barnes is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Berry has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Barnes is working away from the top position though.
Barnes slows the pace down in half guard.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Ben Barnes has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Berry takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Barnes lands a big knee! That's hurt Berry! Oh, he's all over the place! Barnes lands another knee that sends Berry to the floor and the referee steps in to end the fight!
