The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Suck fails with a takedown attempt.

Suck shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches McBride napping and manages to drive through into side control!
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
McBride looks to move to half guard but instead Suck has passed into mount! Damn!
McBride really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Suck trying to control but he's not successful this time.
McBride's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
McBride is squirming around, avoiding Suck's attempts to control the action.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Suck looking to control and managing it successfully.
McBride avoids a strike by Suck and manages to complete a very nice reversal in the process, to end up in Suck's guard! Fantastic escape!

McBride loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
McBride wants to pass the guard but Suck is keeping the position.

OK we're going to have a standup here. You Suck hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Suck tries to move into range but McBride moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

It looks like You Suck has been cut.
McBride keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
McBride throws a push kick but Suck slaps the foot to one side.
Suck fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Suck shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
McBride is staying active underneath Suck, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Suck throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing McBride to regain full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Suck wants to control from the top but McBride keeps moving.

McBride has his feet on Suck's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
McBride throws a wild body kick that Suck sees coming a mile off.
Nice sprawl there from McBride as Suck shoots in.
Duane McBride has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of You Suck.
McBride sizes up Suck with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
McBride walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Suck swats away the attempt to clinch by McBride.

Suck is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
McBride finds Suck's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Suck flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. McBride lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Suck will be OK.
