Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Harvi Kalaso (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexei Pavlov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kalaso comes into the arena with Hank Williams SR. blaring out of the sound system. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kalaso clinches up with Pavlov and pushes him back against the cage.
Pavlov is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Kalaso with an attempt at a knee that misses.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Pavlov tries to land knees in the clinch but Kalaso avoids the damage to the body.
Kalaso lands a damaging elbow.
Kalaso blocks an uppercut.
Pavlov tries a body shot but Kalaso blocks it.

Pavlov is trying to break the clinch but Kalaso has him pressed against the cage.

Kalaso breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Pavlov slips a jab and a cross from Kalaso.
Pavlov tries to clinch up but Kalaso circles away and keeps his distance.
Pavlov throws out a powerful jab.
Pavlov connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Kalaso's hands.

Kalaso drives through with a takedown into Pavlov's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Kalaso is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Kalaso passes Pavlov's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Kalaso looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
