Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fernell Samack (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marc Jay Lakay (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lakay has chosen LOSER!! It was you!! as his entrance music. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Fernell Samack!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 7 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Marc Jay Lakay!
The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Dmitry Maklakov and Ivan Kurochkin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Lakay.
Lakay misses with a jab, cross combination.
Lakay throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Lakay fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Samack misses with a straight left.
Lakay misses the jab.
Lakay throws a body punch but Samack moves out of range.
Samack rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Lakay moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Lakay avoids the body shot from Samack.
Lakay throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Lakay missing with a left hand there. Samack was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

and Samack counters with a nice right hand that sends Lakay toppling to the canvas! Lakay scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Samack finish him?!


It looks like Marc Jay Lakay has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Lakay is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Samack to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Samack shrugs it off.
Samack wants to hold on but Lakay pushes him away.

Samack is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

Lakay is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Samack can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Lakay goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Samack is on top in guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Lakay shoots in looking for a takedown but Samack manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Lakay's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Samack throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Lakay works his foot free and advances to mount.

Samack wants to control but Lakay is having none of it.

Lakay postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Samack looks a forlorn figure.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Lakay. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

Samack tries to lock up and control but Lakay gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Lakay wants to finish this one by submission but Samack is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Lakay.
Lakay is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Samack can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Marc Jay Lakay showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
