PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mac Lombard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Patrik Lichy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lichy is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Sky Wikluh - Pazi sta radis. Mac Lombard looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lichy fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Lombard rushes Lichy and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Lombard turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Lombard manages to end up in side control.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Lombard has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Lombard tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Lombard has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Lombard has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Mac Lombard has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Lichy's jab looks to have found its range, popping Lombard under the eye.

Mac Lombard has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Patrik Lichy.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Lombard in particular looking to stall.
Lombard working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Lombard is looking for a kimura but Lichy is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Lombard to get the leverage.

Lichy really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lombard. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Oooh a big shot gets through from Lombard. Many more shots like that and the referee will have to think about stepping in!

Lichy won't enjoy being in this position. Lombard looking for the choke. Oh... he's slipped the arm under the neck - Lichy is tapping - it's over boys! Lombard picks up the submission victory!

Mac Lombard decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
