The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Veho tries to score a power double leg takedown but Marana sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Veho somewhat.
Veho throws a hook but Marana blocks it.
Marana shoots in and drives through. Veho sprawls well.

Veho clinches.
Veho lands a nice elbow.
Marana is trying to pull guard but Veho turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Marana is trying to drag Veho to the mat but Veho just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Malmin Veho has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Stephan Marana.
Marana tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Veho's elbow.

Marana gets control of Veho's arms and successfully pulls guard. Marana will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Marana is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Veho is posturing up here but Marana has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Veho tries to roll out but it's too tight and Veho has to tap! Slick submission there by Marana!

Stephan Marana decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
