The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Hugh Johnson and Eliza Hachem.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gesta shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Loose sprawls well. Loose wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Gesta gets slowly back to his feet.
Loose tries a head kick but it misses.
Gesta throws a head kick that half lands.
It looks like Wesley Loose has been cut.
Gesta closes this distance looking for a takedown but Loose circles away.
Gesta takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.

Horrible takedown by Gesta or perhaps it was just good defense by Loose which made him look bad.

Gesta has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Loose clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Gesta looking to break Loose's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Loose remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Gesta will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!
