The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McKenzie blocks a head kick by Naar.
Naar throws a low kick but it's checked well by McKenzie.
Nice takedown defense from Naar. No joy for McKenzie on that attempt.
McKenzie shoots for a takedown but Naar saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
A combination from McKenzie does no damage.
Rob McKenzie seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
McKenzie misses with a shot to the body
and Naar counters with a nice kick to the body.
McKenzie tries for a takedown but Naar sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Tayron Naar has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rob McKenzie.

Naar slaps away a takedown attempt from McKenzie, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Naar fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt McKenzie.
Naar throws a shot to the body.
McKenzie takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Naar bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
McKenzie shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Naar but Naar pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Naar wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

McKenzie misses with a leg kick
and McKenzie takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
McKenzie is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Naar.
McKenzie misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Naar counters with a lovely straight right hand!
McKenzie takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
McKenzie is trying hard to land a takedown here. Naar sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Naar throws a leg kick which misses McKenzie's front leg but catches the back leg as McKenzie tries to avoid it.
Naar lands with an uppercut that bounces McKenzie off the cage and back into range.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Naar checks a leg kick.
A nice leg kick lands there from Naar.
McKenzie fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Naar avoids it really well and circles away.
Naar throws a head kick but McKenzie moves out of range.

A shot to the liver by Naar. Beautiful body shot.
Naar slips a jab from McKenzie.
Naar scores with a head kick. McKenzie tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.


It looks like Rob McKenzie has been cut.

McKenzie shoots in looking for a takedown but Naar manages to keep the fight standing, pushing McKenzie's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Naar lands a jab.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
McKenzie shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Naar pinned against the cage. Naar gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

A kick lands to the mid section there for Naar.
Naar moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Naar connects with a crisp jab.
Naar circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! McKenzie drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Naar follows McKenzie to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tayron Naar!
Our winner, Tayron Naar, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
