PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Vitor Beltor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gage Dobbs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dobbs has chosen Pokemon as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Hugh Johnson and Damien Edna.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dobbs throws a sloppy head kick and Beltor moves out of range easily.
Dobbs's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Dobbs duly obliges.

It looks like Vitor Beltor has been cut.
Dobbs pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Beltor throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Dobbs's waist but Dobbs gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Beltor off to one side.
Beltor lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

Beltor moves into the clinch.
Beltor tries to pull guard but Dobbs holds him up against the cage and eventually Beltor drops back down to his feet.
Beltor changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Dobbs fights it off and pushes away nicely.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Vitor Beltor. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Dobbs throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Beltor blocks a leg kick.
Dobbs tries a head kick but it misses.
Beltor tries to work over Dobbs's front leg with a kick but Dobbs checks it.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Beltor jumps into guard, dragging Dobbs to the mat.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Dobbs has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Beltor is proving hard to escape from.
Beltor tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Beltor pulls Dobbs in close to his closed guard and prevents Dobbs from doing any damage or advancing position.

Beltor working for a triangle but Dobbs defends it easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Beltor is trying to control the position but Dobbs postures up.
Beltor is looking to sweep but instead, Dobbs has passed into half guard.
Beltor is controlling Dobbs's trapped leg to prevent Dobbs from advancing to side control.

Beltor kicks off Dobbs and gets to his feet.
Beltor blocks a head kick by Dobbs.
A head kick by Beltor misses
and Beltor takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Beltor is breathing heavily.
Dobbs avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Dobbs throws a one two combo.

Dobbs connects with a high kick.

Beltor is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Beltor lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Dobbs circles away quickly and effectively.
Oh Beltor is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Beltor tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Dobbs counters with a head kick from the bowels of hell that crumples Beltor! This one is all over!
