With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Shamil Basaev!
The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Franklyn Lucas and Jonathan Paton.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Basaev throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Kerenzikov fails with a takedown attempt.
A right-left combo lands from Basaev.


It looks like Argivas Kerenzikov has been cut.
Kerenzikov takes a shot to the body in his stride.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Horrible takedown by Kerenzikov or perhaps it was just good defense by Basaev which made him look bad.
Kerenzikov will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Basaev connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Kerenzikov momentarily.

Basaev cracks Kerenzikov with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Basaev has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Kerenzikov to stand back up!
