The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hernandez throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Ovareem sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Hernandez uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Ovareem.
Ovareem really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Hernandez throws a shot to the body.

Ovareem clinches up against the cage.
Ovareem is looking to take this one to the mat.
Hernandez wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Ovareem has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Hernandez regains guard immediately.

Ovareem can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Hernandez is looking to escape.
Ovareem has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Hernandez is looking to improve his position but Ovareem isn't that keen on the idea.

Ovareem tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Hernandez can do anything to dispel that myth.
