The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Steve Smith and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Macdonald misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Melvin Macdonald seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Macdonald wants to clinch but Dolce slips to the side
and Dolce decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Macdonald's guard.
Dolce must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Macdonald pushes Dolce off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

Dolce is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Macdonald to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Macdonald shrugs it off.

Dolce moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Macdonald has worked his arm free - good work by Macdonald!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

and Dolce counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Dolce.

Dolce is trying to pull guard but Macdonald turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

Dolce blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Macdonald is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Dolce is defending well for now.
Dolce throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Macdonald blocks it with crossed arms.
Dolce has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Macdonald is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Dolce's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Macdonald tries to close the distance and clinch but Dolce swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Macdonald lands with a slapping head kick.
Dolce looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Macdonald!
Dolce is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Macdonald has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Macdonald!
Macdonald has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Dolce is proving hard to escape from.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Dolce is working an open guard so Macdonald takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Macdonald fails to land the takedown.
A looping hook to the body misses from Macdonald. Dolce does a little dance to reset his feet.
Macdonald closes the distance but Dolce moves to the side
and Dolce counters with a shoot takedown. Macdonald fights it but they end up in guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Macdonald wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Dolce manages to pass to side control.

Dolce is nestled in close to Macdonald, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Dolce is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Macdonald is just riding it out for now. Dolce eventually gives up the hold.

Dolce is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Macdonald reverses the position - he's now on top in Dolce's guard.

I've got Dolce winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
