The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Tiny Johnson and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Deushe decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Givens looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Deushe wants to pass the guard but Givens is defending well.
Deushe wants to lay and pray for a moment but Givens keeps working.
Deushe is looking to advance position but Givens won't allow it.
Deushe working the head and body with strikes.
Deushe is keen to just control but Givens is a slippery customer.
Deushe really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Givens . If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Deushe wants to stand but Givens has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
Givens is looking to escape.
Deushe tries to pass the half guard into mount. Givens knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Deushe seems to be looking for submissions.
Givens looks like he's trying to stand up.
Deushe missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.

Givens wants to get back to his feet.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Mendonca Deushe wasn't active enough on the ground.
Deushe fakes the leg kick and cracks Givens in the body.

Deushe closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Deushe connects with a nice short shot to Givens 's temple.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Deushe wants to stand but Givens has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
Givens regains full guard. Nicely done.
Givens keeping moving, preventing Deushe from controlling successfully.
Givens is looking to sinch up a triangle. Deushe throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Givens 's body to avoid the submission. Givens has instead reached around Deushe's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Givens arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
