The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Latrell sprawls well. Latrell wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Jackson gets slowly back to his feet.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Jackson shoots for a takedown but Latrell saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

and Latrell counters with a body kick that stops Jackson in his tracks momentarily.

Latrell might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Latrell tries to hold on but Jackson postures up.

Latrell moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Jackson drops back looking for a leg! Latrell is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Latrell manages to kick Jackson off! Jackson jumps back into Latrell's guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Jackson drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Jackson jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Jackson got a little sloppy there for a moment and Latrell has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Jackson has managed to get both his arms back between Latrell's legs - danger averted.

Jackson has an Americana. Latrell didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Jackson is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Jackson hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
