Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ben Hall!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Damian Nitschke!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Eliza Hachem and Skip Squint.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nitschke takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Hall slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Hall connects with a single shot there.
Nitschke fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Nitschke looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
A right-left combo lands from Hall.
Hall throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Nitschke.
The fighters circle momentarily. Hall darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Nitschke shoots for a takedown but Hall saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Ben Hall has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Damian Nitschke.
Hall scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Nitschke gets the takedown into side control.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Nitschke is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Hall is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Nitschke tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Hall sneaks back into half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Hall pushes Nitschke off and gets back to his feet.
Hall cracks Nitschke with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Nitschke drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Nitschke has a takedown stuffed.
Hall lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Nitschke circles away quickly and effectively.
Nitschke avoids a punch combination nicely.
Nitschke fails with the takedown.
Hall misses with a straight right.
Hall lands a jab to the head.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Nitschke shoots in but Hall avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Hall steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Nitschke.
Nice takedown defense from Hall. No joy for Nitschke on that attempt.
Hall misses with a series of wild punches.
Hall cracks Nitschke with an open hand slap.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Hall connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Nitschke momentarily.
Hall swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Hall connects with the punch.
Hall misses with a wild combination.
Hall misses with a double jab.
Hall throws a body punch but Nitschke moves out of range.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Hall lands a right hook to the body.
Nice sprawl there from Hall as Nitschke shoots in.
Nitschke drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.


It looks like Damian Nitschke has been cut.
Hall closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Hall is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Hall slips under a jab.
Nitschke shoots for a double leg takedown but Hall sprawls well. He's pushed Nitschke's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Nitschke throws a hook but Hall blocks it.
Hall lands with a straight right. Nitschke didn't see that one coming.
Ben Hall seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hall works the jab nicely.
Ben Hall is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Nitschke has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Hall finds it's way round the side to connect with Nitschke's head.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Hall lands the left hand.


Nitschke is rocked!
Hall plants his feet and throws a brutal three punch combo that sends Nitschke swiftly into unconsciousness! Right, left, right! Boom, boom, boom! Nitschke face plants, battered and bloodied! He might never be the same again after that finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Ben Hall!
Ben Hall spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
