Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Matt Perosh!
The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, Sam Margolis and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Spizer fails with the takedown.

Spizer tries to keep at a distance but Perosh has taken the fight into the clinch.

Spizer decides to pull guard.

Spizer had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Perosh defends it easily.

Spizer is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Perosh defends well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Perosh gets to his feet. Spizer looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Nice takedown defense from Perosh. No joy for Spizer on that attempt.

Spizer shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Spizer wants to get back to his feet.
Perosh trying to control from the bottom.
Perosh moves into full guard.
Spizer could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Perosh has a closed guard, preventing Spizer from standing up.
Spizer knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Perosh on the ground.
Perosh lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Spizer!

Spizer is squirming around, avoiding Perosh's attempts to control the action.
Spizer is in all sorts of trouble here.

Perosh lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Perosh get's back to his feet.
Perosh looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Spizer is fending him off so far but Perosh persists. Nope, Spizer circles away and we're back to standing.
Perosh throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Perosh leaves Spizer with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mark Spizer. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Spizer is breathing heavily.
Perosh fails with a takedown attempt.
Spizer throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Perosh's waist but Perosh gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Spizer off to one side.
Perosh takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Spizer displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Perosh.

Spizer is trying hard to land a takedown here. Perosh sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Spizer pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Perosh tries a head kick but it misses.
Perosh throws the kick towards the body but Spizer avoids it.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Perosh stuffs the takedown.

It looks like Mark Spizer has been cut.
Perosh dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Spizer slaps away a takedown attempt from Perosh, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Spizer avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Perosh shoots in but Spizer avoids the takedown attempt easily.

and Spizer counters with a nice body kick.

Spizer fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Perosh to the ground. Spizer is now in Perosh's guard.

Spizer has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Perosh controls Spizer momentarily but Spizer frees himself.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Mark Spizer just wasn't active enough.

Mark Spizer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Matt Perosh.
Spizer tries to score a power double leg takedown but Perosh sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Spizer somewhat.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Perosh tries to close the distance and clinch up but Spizer swats him away and circles back towards the center.

A low kick from Perosh is predictable there

so Spizer counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Mark Spizer overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Perosh trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.
Spizer trying to control the position from guard on top but Perosh is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Perosh has his feet on Spizer's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Perosh misses with a head kick.
Perosh throws a low kick but it's checked well by Spizer.

Spizer scores with a takedown into Perosh's guard.
Spizer stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Perosh swivels though and keeps the full guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Perosh keeping moving, preventing Spizer from controlling successfully.
Spizer wants to pass the guard but Perosh is keeping the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Perosh controls Spizer momentarily but Spizer frees himself.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Spizer has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Perosh to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Spizer is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Perosh pulls down on the head and he's put Spizer to sleep! This one is all over!
